Elimination of ZFE: "A complete overhaul seems essential to me," reacts the Minister of Transport

Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot was the guest of the 4V on Friday, May 30.
On Thursday, May 29, the National Assembly voted to end low-emission zones (LEZs) . Limiting the circulation of highly polluting vehicles, the bill that aims to eliminate them has yet to be fully validated. Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot, a guest at the 4V event on Friday, May 30, is, however, cautious about this potential abolition.
A project "poorly explained and poorly applied"
" I would like to remind you that it is not only vehicles and exhaust pipes that produce fine particles. There is also the issue of braking, wood heating, and industry. Regarding the ZFEs themselves, it is a project that was unfortunately poorly designed, probably poorly explained, and poorly implemented ," explains Philippe Tabarot, when asked about compensation for the billions that Europe will not pay to France, given the decision of the deputies.
